This weekend went by in a flash!  Friday evening I had all these pieces cut out & edges distressed before I went to bed. Saturday morning I was up stamping & embossing when I saw a facebook post that a friend about 2 hours way was having a gathering at her house in just over 2 hours, I threw on some clothes & made a mad dash up there... it was such a great day, I ended up staying well into the night but eventually found my way home.  Sunday morning brought Church, lunch & me putting the finishing touches on these cards... everything except the photo before it was time to head back to Church for my son's Praise Band & Youth service.  ahhh the life of a mom ;-)

BOO... a Halloweeen card collection

a while back I wrote about making cards from those little tabs along the top of 6x6 paper pads, these I had started but never finished.  Today I was challenged to make some Halloween or Fall cards using Orange & Black so while digging thru my chosen paper pack, I ran across these "tab" cards I had started :-)  Happy find!

This little detail I used Smooch in Carrot to accent, add a little extra fun to this card.  I've VERY happy with how it turned out!

It's almost The Fourth of July!  And this year I get a special treat... my sister will be coming for a visit, arriving at my house on the Fourth for a BBQ complete with our Dad at the grill & our younger brother plus niece to hang out too!  We're also planning a little hike at one of our beautiful Arkansas State Parks, Devil's Den that my sister hasn't been to for a very long time. Of course, I'll be toting along the ole camera to try to get as many shots as possible and I'm sure my brother will have along his brand new camera as well.  How Exciting!

I took a 5.25"x4" piece of white cardstock

added Queen & Co Washi Tape on either side of Tim Holtz butterfly tape

next I embossed using the Swirls folder from Provo Craft
