You would NOT believe what I did to all SIX of  my cards for this challenge... you see the polka dot pieces?  Well some Ding Dong adhered every single one of them down on the reverse and added all the top pieces to it, I even took the picture and was ready to crop when I realized that something was missing... like oh say the Polka Dots!  ACK, so I had to pull all the top parts off,  remove all the adhesive from the Polka Dot side, reapply adhesive then re-assemble!  SHEESH, so many names to call myself so little time... HA

by Annette came up with the Challenge... Using OWH Sketch #26 to make Love Cards

Some of you may already know this but here I go anyway.... I'm so very lucky that the Canvas Corp Warehouse is only about 25 minutes from my house (and believe me, I live out... tiny town).  They have great deals on all the brands they own other than Canvas Corp. there's Tattered Angels, 7 Gypsies, Chatter Box, and more.  That is where I got all this great Kraft & Kraft print papers!

hi there

it's Wednesday! middle of the week!  Hump day! Also known as the first day of the school year that I lost track of time and didn't leave to pick up my kiddos from school until I got a text from my younger son asking where I was parked... EEK!  Speaking of kiddos and Wednesday, Operation Write Home does a weekly challenge on Wednesday called Midweek Throwdown and today's theme is Cards for Kids

I'm also joining celebrating with Freshly Made Sketches their 100th sketch by re-posting their very First Sketch

I LOVE LOVE LOVE these free digi stamps from DearieDollsDigiStamps, she gives you the option of colored or not (today I chose colored) and they are FREE!  Isn't this the sweetest face?!

so many Thanks

I truly believe that we can never say Thank You enough. For something as simple as opening a door to something much larger. That's why Thank You cards are my favorite type of cards to make for our Soldiers to send home... I know if I was serving my country overseas that I would be wanting to Thank so many people for so many different things back home.

My color combo is thanks to Unity Stamp Co's Challenge

International Thank You

I had forgotten all about Fusion Card Challenges, which is really cool... you use either the Sketch or the Photo Inspiration or combine the two for a Fusion... pretty cool

This is Fusion Card Challenge #15

I couldn't decided between dark "wood" paper or light so I made two of each, now that I have the pics taken I'm actually leaning to liking the dark better.  What do you think?

BOO... a Halloweeen card collection

a while back I wrote about making cards from those little tabs along the top of 6x6 paper pads, these I had started but never finished.  Today I was challenged to make some Halloween or Fall cards using Orange & Black so while digging thru my chosen paper pack, I ran across these "tab" cards I had started :-)  Happy find!

This single card (to the right) I made 100% today, based on the current sketch from Sketch Frenzy Friday 081613

This little detail I used Smooch in Carrot to accent, add a little extra fun to this card.  I've VERY happy with how it turned out!

Here's the whole "collection" which will be going to Operation Write Home in about a week

Printed Papers - Echo Park The Apothecary Emporium 6x6 Pad

Line Art - Making Memories Stickers

Chippie Alphas - Cosmo Cricket Black Board Haunted

some Washi Tape on two of the cards as well

Sunflowers & Butterfly

Oh I am SO HAPPY with how this card turned out! First because I completely love both of these stamps,

Second because I'm really liking how the Smooch is turning out for me, and Third because I've done absolutely nothing all day but put up my feet & play in my craft room!

Friend of Mine

I decided to not only make more cards for Operation Write Home's Midweek Throwdown Challenge of Friendship but I've been trying to work with the Freshly Made Sketches #99 sketch for days now!

Who wouldn't want to send a friend a card if they were stationed at all different corners of the earth?

Stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black

Colored with Smooch Pearlized Accent Inks in Kiwi, Sundance, Ocean Soul, and Green Apple

Ink - Memento Rich Cocoa

my husband really liked the way this one turned out, he kept turning the card slightly this way & that so I'm thinking this will be a great one to send to Operation Write Home for a solider to send back home

Party like it's 1985

well back in the day, I didn't get into the Neon stuff.  I never really did the "in" thing, ok so I still don't... always the outcast, that's me.

I made this card for not only Unity's Friends With Flair but the Unity Itty Bitty of the Day challenge on Facebook, last day :-(

Hello Friend

I love friends!  and I truely believe you can never have too many friends. Friends keep my world going round, ok my family helps but seriously without friends where would I be? I have this one friend that I've had for over 30 years (crap yes, I am THAT old!), I cannot imagine a world without her. So when Operation Write Home's Midweek Throwdown said to make a "Friendship" card, I immediately thought of colors Tricia would like

Well I have been looking at Unity Stamp Company's Challenge Scrapbook Sketch since it was posted, scratching my head, asking myself "what can I use with that?"  I looked at the very top of my pre-planned pages and there lies this picture with the paper & dragonfly die already together and thought "I got this!"  I also got smart & used Itty Bitty Splendid Things on my page so I can enter it into Unity's {Show & Tell} Group for the Itty Bitty of the day.
