Percy Jackson

My younger son, Ike, is 8 (soon to be 9) and in the third grade. He went to his school library today and checked out Percy Jackson & The Olympians, The Lightening Thief... which we already own the entire series at home - crazy kid! But he's so excited! We've decided that instead of carrying the school's book here & there, that he would use our copy but at school he can read from theirs. We made a mini folder for his to track what page he's on. The, of course, he needed book markers... yes one for home & one for school!

I gotta say, he did a great job on choosing papers & ribbons, plus he did all of his own stamping. The only thing I did for him was the embossing on the booklet. My little crafter!

Happy Camper Cards

Just having fun & playing around with some camping stuff, I'm so ready to go camping! lol So making some cards made me feel just that much closer to going.

Products Used: Cosmo Cricket paper; CTMH ribbon, SU stamp set

PPC-CC #1

My first color challenge! But it was issued using SU's colors so I guessed which ones that would be with CTMH. It was raining today, so I couldn't take a photo in my favorite "photo spot" but instead had to use the dining table. The fiber & the cardstock actually DO match... unfortunately my photo doesn't do this card justus:

Products Used: CTMH: Hydrangea, Ocean, Buttercup ccardstock; Treasure Life Stamp Set; Cuttlebug: Stylized Flowers

Stamping 411 Sketch Challenge 139

Gave it a whirl this week but wanted to do something a little different. I just got this paper pack 50% off at Hobby Lobby, so I just had to use it! I love the sparkly, it's so fun!

Products used: DCWV paper, misc. ribbon

Help me, my peeps!

I would like one, maybe two new Cricut cartridge but don't know what to get. In case you're one of my OOF's (that's Online Only Friends), here's a brief description of my personal life.

*I have a husband of forever (been together for over 20 years).
*We have two boys, 12 & almost 9.
*We are outdoorsy people... camping, hiking, mountain biking, just being one with nature (aka lounging in the hammock at a campsite) plus we live in the woods.
*I totally love my Jeep Wrangler & my high heal boots.
*I have a bff (I've had her longer than dh) is one who would never sleep in a tent and loves her big jewlery... we like our cocktails & beer, she's the center of attention & I'm the wallflower
*I work full time for a Civil Engineer.
*I also always wear makeup & love my long hair, so I have a touch of girly in me ;-)

You could always cruise thru some of my previous posts to see what I'm all about... mostly my fam

I need a couple of suggestion on which cartridge you think I'd really get a lot of use out of. I have two (no clue what they're called at this point as I am at work, heehee).

HELP ME!!

Stamping 411, CCS 138

Gotta admit that I struggled a little this week, but I think I pulled it off... wish I had a ribbon that went with the card but the chipboard looks ok.

Products used: CTMH: Felicity & Post Marked Stamp Set; Crystal Blue, Sweet Leaf & Vineyard Berry Ink Pads; Cuttlebug: Floral Screen

We're 40! Scarlet Lime February 2010 Kit

My bff & I both turned 40 in 2009 and while I didn't get a party thrown for me, Tricia had an awesome one! I love the Scarlet Lime February 2010 kit I just got and HAd to use it immediately, perfect timing for the b-day party!

For our own "private" celebration together, we attend the Scrapbook Convention in Tulsa. It was my first timme but Tricia had gone before. This one just happened to fall ON her actual birthday. These pages were actually made during a class we took together, so of course I had to use them to scrap the event
