after a day yesterday fill with hearts hearts and more hearts, I've gone on to something completely different!

ODBD sponsors a monthly challenge for Operation Write Home where, depending on the number of cards submitted, they will pay for the shipping of boxes of cards to our soldiers... January had 2 boxes mailed, so I'm working on some cards to help get that number up even more.  This month's challenge is BROWN

I combined the ODBD challenge with Freshly Made Sketches #121

Image & Sentiment - Unity Stamp Co. KOM April 2012 Follow Your Own

may all of your wishes come true

I love dandelions.... not only are they super cute in seed for but their cheery little yellow flowers can make any yard look happier.  Nope, I don't care if they are considered a weed... not to me, they are beauty... just one more things to give thanks to God for!

I combined the Monthly Challenge over on Operation Write Home from Our Daily Bread (ODB will pay for the shipping of boxes of cards overseas to our soldiers for OWH!) color combo of Brown, Pink & Green with the current sketch from Freshly Made Sketches #101 which I find super cute (I adore the little sideway banners)

Chalkboard Thank You

So I was getting ready to work on Operation Write Home & Our Daily Bread's Monthly Challenge then I went looking for  a sketch to use & found the latest from Freshly Made Sketches... perfect together, but I did swap the Sentiment location for a ribbon.  And while these are not my favorite colors (well lime is one of them anyway) but I love this color combo!

butterflies in a garden

Recently I won $25 from Our Daily Bread via the Operation Write Home blog!  ODB issues a challenge that they want so many cards made & linked to challenge on OWH's blog and ODB will pay for the shipping of so many boxes to our soldiers!  Then they draw a name from the participants & give them a prize.... I got to pick individual stamps from they great selection. I received my order today!  and WOW, these are wonderful stamps.... and, get this, the rubber.... it's PURPLE!  eeek, love!

I also discovered that Our Daily Bread has a sketch to use, Sketch #145

Now on to my creation, this is for Our Creative Corner, our hostess this week is Meihsia with another photo inspiration, we are to use the colors & patterns in it along with using metal

Relax

I know this isn't a typical sentiment for an Operation Write Home card but I'm sure some of our soldiers would love nothing better than to be at home playing in the bubble bath with one of their kiddos or taking a relaxing bubble bath themselves!

I found the tutorial for this Trio Stair Step Card from Laura at Crop Chocolate

I also made these cuties for Our Daily Bread's Challenge on Operation Write Home to use Scallops and remember that if there are enough entries into this challenge, ODB will PAY for cards to be shipped to our soldiers for Operation Write Home!
