happy everything

Sami Stamps are so darn cute!  I JUST discovered these adorable digis over at Hiding in My Craft Room challenge #142 which I combined with Freshly Made Sketches #128 but first thing I did was dash over to Sami Stamp's to pick out a freebie to use!

For the first card, I chose to mirror the image and print it a bit smaller.  I colored it in with various Copic markers

Red Ribbon - Offray

Printed Papers - Bo Bunny Alora 12x12

Sentiment Stamp - Unity Stamp Co. Happy Everything

Ink - CloseToMyHeart Holiday Red

Twine - The Twinery

Yellow Embellishment - Freckled Fawn Enamel Dew Drop Stickers

For the second card, I didn't use the sketch at all... just did my own thing

Color Combo Butterfly

Today's creation is brought to you by the weather... called "Ice and Snow".  Here in my little town we are completely sick of the stuff but alas more hit us last night.  Our kiddos have already had 6 days out of school due to slick roads back between Thanksgiving & Christmas, and now it's looking like the first day back to school (scheduled for tomorrow) may not happen afterall. Can you feel my lack of joy at the prospect?

US... together

oh boy, this one... I got a wild hair to try something different.  for the background, I mixed light pink Making Memories paint with Tim Holtz Alcohol ink which turned into kinda old bubblegum texture goop, I spread the goop out. I smeared CloseToMyHeart Pearl Paint onto the stamp and pressed it into the bubblegum goop, rinsed it off the stamp, inked up with red ink & stamped again to give it a little color.  The image is really funky & full of texture.

I combined several challenges for this one, something I rarely do:
Hiding in My Craft Room - Pink, Red & White
Stampendous - Add Some Texture
The Sampler Kit Club - Photo Inspiration

All Stamp - CloseToMyHeart Soul Mate

Red Ink - CloseToMyHeart Cranberry

Gingham Ribbon - Jillibean Soup Beanstalks

White Ribbon - misc from stash

White metal embellishment - Making Memories
