Recycle & Make it Green

A challenge after my own heart!  I LOVE recycling... reducing... reusing, although I'm not very good at the reducing part of the equation!  Our Creative Corner's newest challenge comes from Kim Price to create something with an item salvaged & remade into something wonderful at the same time using the color green

so most by now know that I'm on a mission to make a BUNCH of cards for Operation Write Home & in that process I am utilizing a lot of their sketches over on Stars & Stamps, this is Sketch#116

GO make something & play along with BOTH!

  1. Incredible depth to your butterfly Paula. The over and under lapping of the red scallop looks terrific. I love your devotion to OWH...this will be a cherished card for whomever receives it!

  2. Such a pretty card! I really like your bold butterfly, velvet scallop trim and perfect sentiment!

  3. Hi Paula. Your card is so beautiful - I just love that butterfly! This is such a special card and I am sure it will make someone very happy.

  4. This is just lovely, Paula. The dragonfly looks wonderful and how clever to weave the gorgeous scallop trim over and under the wing. The sentiment is perfect too! Great work on this week's challenge.

Hope you are having a wonderful weekend.

  5. Paula, I just love your red velvet scallop trim. Very bold and exciting! but not as exciting as your butterfly! Very beautiful and clever use of re-purposed items {smile}.
Hope your weekend was great! hugs, sharon w.
Good luck with your contribution to 'write home'. what a great cause!

  6. What a great piece of recycling, and what a cracking card! Love the red and green together!

  7. Love that butterfly, such a perfect focal point. So exciting! The velvet scallop trim is a great complement to the colors you've used.
    Hugs ;)
