2010 Calendar Class
We had a great time & got a really good start on our calendars for 2010! I'm making 3 so it's taking me a little long to get finished than most and I still don't have my pictures printed off to add to them. Currently I have the top part of all three finished for each month, simply have to slap down the correct pics and that part is finished ~ wahoo!
Right now I'm working on the date part of the calendar... due to some bad info I received about the size to pre-make my squares, I'm having to cut them down even smaller and doing a upper right corner date or just re-stamping the date on each square (did this once due to a cutting error on my part, lol) I will most definately post some pictures as soon as I get some taken - maybe tonight?!
Next class: Twitterpated - tooooo stinkin' cute for words, we'll do the scrapbook & card portion of the class so we'll get the biggest bang for our buck! You're gonna love it ;-)

2010 Calendar Class - August 15

Potluck food theme is Mexican
Supplies Needed: trimmer, adhesive, papers & embelishments. You will be using your existing supplies on this one, but are welcome to order from the currrent Idea Book if you'd like some new paper or need other supplies.Pre-Class Homework (please have at least #1 done and bring with you):
1. You will need 365 1" squares. These will be your days of the week in the calendar.
2. Pre-dating the squares. You will have more class time to put the calendar together (black goes with everything) if you have this done. I will have my stamps available for your use if you prefer to do it in class.3. Pre-plan what papers/colors, stickers, embelishments to use for each month. Make a list or go ahead & sort it out, this will make putting your calendar together so much quicker.
4. Don't forget about the "Free Trade" boxes if you don't have supplies for a month on your 2010 Calendar, these are there for the taking but I have no idea what is in them.
5. Mystery Box items are for sale on a first come/first served basis. These supplies I got for about half price & have added tax+shipping on, they are retired items from Close to my Heart.
I will need orders by the end of the day on July 31 to place the order on August 1. Carrie is our hostess for this crop. If we have a qualifying order, she will get to select free products!
Please RSVP! Let me know if you're bringing a friend - a trip to the "Goodie Box" for anyone who brings someone with them!
As always, I do not charge for you to attend! Your potluck dish to share with everyone is your cover charge.

I'm finally back! and I've been busy
After taking a couple of weekends off to enjoy the outdoors, then having friends over... we're back to being a lazy selves once again.

My mil in the larger photo on the left, teenager & with elementary classes in two right photos.

All paper & embelishments (except flowers on cover page) are CTMH, all are retired.
I'm now working on my mother-in-law's black & white photos from her childhood/young adulthood, 1930's thru 1960's, I think. My in-laws are such great people that I truely enjoy making & upkeeping their scrapbooks for them... better than the dresser drawer getting over-full of photos from all of us "kids", the grandkids & great-grandkids. This album is all about Hazel, her friends & family.

Classmates from 1939-1940's:

My mil it top left, hard to see her in my bad pic but it was late & I was tired so I didn't check them before thinking "ok, they're good"

June Campin Pics Weekend 1
Dh took this one , I'm bringing up the rear:
At one of the many many (did I mention many) designated overlooks:
The highest point in Arkansas is at an elevation of 2,753... our house located in Northwest Arkansas is located at an elevation of 1,340:
Hope you enjoyed this little bit of my home state as much as I enjoyed going there!
My guys at one of the most beautiful yet very scary spots on our mountain bike outting:

My oldest son & I were acting goofy at dh's expense... just wait until I scrap this one of him, maybe a blow up of his face where you can't really see what/who he's pointing at? lol

Slacker Scrapper

I've been busy lately, not with scrapping or stamping, but with enjoying life... so I'm taking a little time off from paper production to actually live & enjoy the fam! Camping in the mountains this weekend with just the four of us. Camping at a creek next weekend with my fam, my brother & neice, maybe his good friend & fam, and maybe my good friend & fam - doesn't matter how many there are, as long as we're together! But when my little s&s vacay is over, please be assured that I'll be back with a vengence posting my "artwork" (lol) as often as possible.
For now, gotta go find my tank top, shorts, hiking boots, sunscreen, and try on the dreaded bathing suit (surely that still fits... yep, like sausage in a tube!). The hammock is already loaded!
Here are some pics from previous camping trips:
