Mojo Monday 405

Wahoo, I played along with a sketch tonight! YES! lol
I know I sound like a crazy person but if you could see my stuff, you would understand my problems in my little card making world, don't even get me started on my lack of scrapbooking... so.far.behind. (not normal in my world)
ok ok but yay, I played along and I made this card for my very best friend in the world
we've been friends since we were 12
(a really really long time)
She got some very sad news today and her life is going to be tough for a while
but I'm here for her, just as I have always been
I'm like a rock
ok that got weird

I love the diagonal band across the sketch!

These cute & fun printed papers are from Echo Park's So Happy Together 6x6 pad

Stamp Set is Unity Stamp Company KOM
{Warmth of Winter}

Flower from Prima

and that yellow band is actually Pearlescent Cardstock from Colorbok, gives it that little extra umph that every card should have

Ink is Tim Holtz Abandoned Coral

a little disappointed :-(

I was so excited to see Unity's sketch & jumped in and made a card for Christmas

ready to upload when I read the rules... you can only use a Kit of the Month on what you make (I don't have ANY of them).  Total bummer, but I'll live & I like what I made I'm just not able to link it to the challenge.  Here's my creation:
The house stamp is from Unity's Family Dynamix and "Wish" is from Growing in Unity.  Stripe paper is  Fancy Pants Frosted, blue paper is from Echo Park Christmas by Bella Road, and Pink Snowflake paper is Fancy Pants Holly Jolly, Perfect Pearls for snow, colored pencils for house details, and Chocolate ink from CTMH.
Since my card doesn't count anyway, on the inside I added Stampin Up Sayings and Such (very old) in Cranberry ink from CTMH.

Specialty Challenge Time

Don't cry over spilled cookies
This week Picture Perfect Creations has a special challenge for you.... Use 2 Ribbons & 3 Buttons on your project, nothing could be easier :-)

I took this opportunity to give this adorable Chinese take-out container & fortune cookies a whirl:
You can find the Artist, Karen Hanson, from Crop Chocolate on The Crop complete with a printable pattern and video instructions, how sweet is that?!
I took liberties with the "ribbon" and used two colors of twine instead, my twine is from The Twinery.  Paper is Echo Park's For The Record (a favorite of mine!) and funky flowers/buttons are from Sassafras, cute large brads used on side of container are from Making Memories... all of which I purchased from Crop Chocolate.

Don't forget to upload your project & go check-out all the Design Team members creations at Picture Perfect Creation!
