I'll confess, I saw this flower on Pinterest but I didn't like the way she made it so I recreated it myself and I love it! I have these hung in my dining room for Thanksgiving but they may have a permanent home ;-)
So here's my quickie tutorial:
a nice heavy Cardstock, cut using a Cricut Expression with Gypsy using the Accent Essentials cartridge
11.7" |
10.0" + 2.0" |
8.0"+4.0" |
and I didn't take a picture of it but you'll also need to cut a 6.0" one
cover front of all the pieces plus the back of the largest.
This black one was done with Glossy but the Tan/Cream ones at my house (first picture) have a matte finish. |
Add paper clips to each end while still wet and allow a few hours to dry completely |
Assembly by stacking smallest piece on top of next larger piece, add large brad to center, the using Mod Podge as a glue, add more between each layer where the cardstock touches |
Here it is complete and in place at one of my best friend, Wendy's house... it looks awesome on her red wall (sorry the pic is fuzzy, it's her cell phone)
Thank you for sharing how to make them. I love your and will be making some myself. - blue
