today is Wednesday, yes I have had to say that several times because of Memorial Day we got really messed up this week.  Wednesday is also Midweek Throwdown day from Operation Write Home, today's challenge is a general card featuring Transportation of any kind.  I mixed this with Tuesday Morning Sketches #200 (WOW, 200... congrats TMS!) and came out with FIVE cards all pretty much just alike.

ahhh, summer... my boys & I are starting this summer off right, by going on walks down our hilly dirt road each morning. Ok, really I walk and they ride bikes but we're doing it together so that makes it special.

Today I felt the need to craft right after returning from said walk.  I grabbed Freshly Made Sketches #88 and got busy, I ended up making four pretty much just alike.

the road is simply a piece of black cardstock cut 1.5" wide with a white pen for the dashed lines down the middle (my top one got a big wonky but meh, I'll live with it)

I started working on this card, got all the paper pieces in place then looked at the sketch again deciding I need something around the edges.  I didn't want to sew on it so I added a bit of Viva Pearle Pen in white around the edges only to slide my wet card under the second card I had made, smearing the Pearle all over the place... what's a girl to do?  well I'll tell ya, I just smeared it all around with my finger then added another line on top.  It's really hard to tell in the pics but it does look a little textured.  The other card didn't suffer this same fate.
