Plus I adore getting to use this Jessica Lynn Originals stamp called Halloween Twilight along with papers my friend Marilynn sent

Authentic
Two Paper Divas has a great little sketch going right now, my friend Terri told me I should play along. So today on my graduation recovery day, I played with some paper, a little ink, and some scissors! What a great way to recover ;)
I used Carta Bella 6x6 Paper Pad called Beautiful Moments, I distressed the edges & stamped using Tim Holtz Ground Espresso, I even fussy cut out the pieces of the flower!
Here's where you can enter & the sketch itsself:

So long, Fair well
Oh no, my week is over... time to take off my crown and pass it along to the next GIU GalHopefully I have inspired you to create something this week!
Sometimes this sentiment is harder to realize than others as I strive for perfection way too often, so I have to tell myself
"dood you are NOT perfect, get over yourself"
Speaking of imperfect, this background was super for with dripping Tim Holtz Distress Inks, spritzing with water, patting with a paper towel and repeating until it looked like this.
First this I did was stamp the image and butterfly wings from Nov. 2013 KOM with Ranger Archival Ink in Black, then I began the background journey and added the sentiment,
Donna Downey's As I See It, once all that was dry.
Donna Downey's As I See It, once all that was dry.
I used watercolors to paint in the butterfly wings and topped that with a pretty heavy coat of Wink of Stella (no matter how hard I try, I cannot photograph that stuff so just imagine sparkles)
Now don't forget to leave me a comment for a chance to win random stamps from Unity Stamp Company. If you missed a previous day this week, no worries just go back and comment on those creations now!

Day 4 of my GIU week
Valentine's Day will be here before you know it!
I always look forward to my husband fumbling with what to get me
and my two sons attempts at helping him out on this...
I get a lot of M&M's
they try
Featuring: ...Everything Love stamp set
I started this one off with a blank white card front, and decided the heart should be embossed
Zing in Silver to the rescue.
Once that was heat set, I dripped Tim Holtz Distress Inks down from the top then sprayed with water to create a marbling effect.
Next came the simple stamping of the sentiment.
I sat & looked & looked before deciding it just needed more then I remembered my
Prima flower jar! Topped those off with a little bling from Imaginisce and *Boom*
Valentine's Day!
Leave me some love for a chance to win random stamps from Unity Stamp Company. If you missed a day this week, just go back to Monday and work your way through my posts for better odds of winning. See you tomorrow for my grand finale!

Feature Day Wahoo
Welcome to my feature day! I'm so very glad Unity does this for their customers,
it really lets you know what kind of company it is
and seriously, I feel like a queen for the entire week!
I wanted today's project to really stand out
Here it is
this is a 6"x6" canvas that has had Gesso and multiple layers of Glazing and acrylic paint applied to it
it's been painted, smeared, scrapped, and wiped. That's just the background.
The hearts are a mask from UmWow Studio which I used with Light Molding Paste, once it was dry I pained and splattered it with Golden Acrylic Paint.
While I was waiting for the Paste to set-up, I stamped two of the butterflies from the Nov. 2014 SMAK with Ranger Archival Ink then painted it with Golden Paint.
Next I stamped the Sentiment using the same Ink, I love the imperfect stamp I got from it.
I found some of my older son's used guitar string (which he had just happened to wind like this) so I applied some E6000 (mega stinky) glue.
I used pop dots and layered the butterflies before adding them on top fo the guitar strings.
Comment for a chance to win! That's right, 2 random people will be chosen to win 25 random stamps from Unity Stamp Company! You can go back to Monday & Tuesday of this week and comment on those posts for more chances at winning. Two more posts to come this week, stay tuned!

My Day 2 as GIU
Welcome back for Day 2 of my week as the Growing in Unity Gal!
If you missed yesterday, go back & check it out
Today is all about watercoloring!
I adore this Unity Stamp set called Cluster of Buds
and when you add watercoloring to it,
wow so very pretty
I decided against a sentiment for this one so you could use it for absolutely anything!
I stared out just simply stamping using Ranger Archival Ink in Black and stamped the same flower three times slightly rotating the stamp for each, same for the stems/leaves
Next I got out my very inexpensive Prang watercolors and just started painting,
nothing magical here but layering on the paints until I got the look I wanted.
Remember, come back to my blog each day & leave a comment for a chance to win 25 random stamps. I'll have a new creation tomorrow!

you had me at 2016
well this will sound a little wacky but
the December Unity SMAK consisted of this "2016" stamp
and I HAD TO HAVE IT since my oldest son will be graduating from high school this year
{gulp, my baby is all grown up on me}
and I've been wanting to get back into SMAK anyway
it push me over the edge!
When I received my new SMAK, I went crazy playing
I even used "inspire" from it on one of my Donna Downey
Inspiration Wednesday Journal 2015 pages
(I'm so far behind!)
