How do you Celebrate Your Birthday?

Each year... I have host a Murder Mystery Party!  The first year it was at Mardi Gras, last year it was at an old Mansion, this year it is at a Super Hero Convention!  This is how I chose this week's theme for Our Creative Corner.... a Birthday cake fit for a Super Hero... Red, Blue, and Yellow

What Lies Within Us

Today is Friday which means... Unity Stamp Co's Friends With Flair!

It is also a part of Lent which started Wednesday... I have decided this year to not give anything up but to give to others, I'm writing letters for friends & family so far I have one for my mom and one for my best friend, next is my other best friend (I know you're suppose to only have one but I've been seriously blessed in the friends department).  I'm tracking them in a spreadsheet so I know who I have done.  I'm only planning on mailing them out weekly on Saturday and I can't wait make each of their days a little brighter with an unexpected letter.

wahoo!  this week Lisa of Our Creative Corner challenged us with a photo to inspire... and boy was I intimidated at first but then I got going... I really got going... I got stickles on three fingers at one time, embossed with three colors at one time... found the perfect sentiment for my friend I'm sending this one to & everything... I'm calling it a success!

I made the rosette a while back when just messing around with cream colored cardstock that I sprayed with Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist in Purple (not real sure of the correct name as I got it from the T.A. Warehouse and the label is gone but I LOVE this color)


Then I drug my Stickles Starry Night down the creases to make them sparkle.


I punched the gold & green Making Memories Slice Metallic Paper with an old Creative Memories punch & topped it all off with this Metal Crown from Making Memories.

When I was sorting thru my cardstock to decide which color was the best choice for the "plum"  I couldn't decided between the more reddish Rich Razzleberry or the more purplish Perfect Plum so I made five with each then made two in the kraftish color of Crumb Cake

a few months ago my husband & older son built a Bass Guitar, my son designed the body himself, chose the paint color & wanted snakeskin graphics on it... while I'm not that good of an artist to draw snakeskin on this stamp, I did go with orange for my boy.

Operation Write Home is always in need to birthday cards and since I have two sons well, I just happen to have stuff for little boys, I know the soldiers get plenty of flowery stuff (I've done a lot of that myself) so I decided to give them a few planes, trains & automobiles :-)
