From the
Our Creative Corner Design Team Member Lori Rider, comes "What Not To Stamp" card makeover challenge!
I had a very hard time choosing what card to make over but I finally settled on this one, the BEFORE:
I really didn't like this paper (then why did you buy it, you ask... I'm clueless there) and the center focus item just gets lost... too small, too blah
ahhhh... the AFTER.... so pretty!
Printed Paper - October Afternoon
Cardstock - Olive & Citrus Leaf
Distressing Ink - Tim Holtz Forest Moss & Festive Berries
Stamp Set - Basic Grey
Die - Sizzix
Bling - Making Memories White & Red Sets
Ribbon - Joann's clearance rack for $0.50
Wonderful upgrade, Paula! I definitely like your new paper better and the tree is terrific. Love the bling too. Super job on this new challenge - thanks for sharing your older work!
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend.
Hugs,
Linda
Great makeover Paula but oh my goodness I can't think about Christmas yet! A gorgeous card though, love your new version :)
ReplyDeleteHi Paula :)
ReplyDeleteI love the papers on the original card, but I agree that your wonderful focal point got lost in the lines. Your remake however, BAM!! Wow, now that really stands out and I love how you've designed the layout to make the eye really see every bit of the wonderful elements. Beautiful Christmas card. :)
Hugs,
Lisa xx
