It's just been a lifting weekend for me. This one I got from http://technostamper.blogspot.com/2010/01/411-sketch-latenightstamper-style.html but I think I still like hers better :-)

Valentine's Cards for Ike's class 2010
My 8 year old loves to make his class Valentine's Day cards every year. Last year his teacher thought I made them all for him, so I had to correct her - they're his! I let him choose the papers to buy and how to cut them out, sure I make suggestions but if he doesn't like my idea, it doesn't happen. So, here are Ike's class cards for this year:
Products Used: Oriental Trading Post-Lovey Dovey Papers, Cricut-Platin SchoolBook cartridge, CTMH-Annotations Stamp Set and White CS

You & Me... All Thru the Seasons
I thought of my best friend while making this card, maybe I shouldn't post it and mail it to her instead.... naw! I can't show it off to everyone else that way! Hey, Tricia, let me know if you want the original! lol

Easel Card
My Best Friend, Tricia, sent me a link to Rachel's blog which had instructions for an easel card... I just had to give it a try:
I don't think it turned out too bad and will look even better once it's been put in my stack for a little bit to flatten out. Here's a link to Rachel's website: http://www.stampingbyrachel.com/2010/01/sweet-always-easel-card.html

You're the Best in Sweet Pea
Butterfly Love
For Christmas my BFF gave me an adhesive rub on kit and I've been going crazy trying to think of what to use it for. I saw a card at Paper Crafts Magazine's website and knew I'd found it. So here it is, very simple but fun to use my new stuff on:
Products: Technique Tuesday-Tiles Fundamentals of Flowers, We R Memory Keepers-Foil Glitter Flock Adhesive Rub On Kit and White Out Collection paper

Happy Day Card
today I'm blocked, totally and completely blocked; but I still need to spend time in my Attic away from my familly, too much time together will do that to a girl! I subscripe to Paper Craft Magazine so I went on their website and looked around until I found a card I wanted to make. Here it is:

Composition Notebook for ME
I'm a tree hugger at heart... although I do work as a project designer for a Civil Engineer, therefore destroying trees for various developments. Sometimes it's really hard to do, especially after I go on a site visit and actually "meet" the trees, good thing they don't let me out of the office very often or I'd be fighting with them even more than I already do.
To help with the pain of all the dead trees in my scrapbook room (in the form of many many different papers), this Die Cut With a View paper is...... R E C Y C L E D! Imagine my pleasure when I saw that, I didn't even wait for a sale (very rarely happens that I don't figure out some kind of special to get). TADA, here's my very own compo notebook that I'm takin to work!

and I'll confess that I had a very hard time choosing between this beaver (cuz I love his little teeth) and the skunk saying "Stinkin' Work", but I was afraid of clients seeing the skunk and taking it the wrong way... I played it safe
Inspired by Abby from NCIS
I love Abby from NCIS! I wish I was more like her, mostly her attitude plus the fact that she's always happy & smiling. Pauley, you rock :-) So in honor of Abby, this is a Valentine's Day card I made tonight

MPS Cold Days Challenge #1
So one of my newest online places to go is My Pink Stamper! She does youtube cricuit "lessons" that have actually come in handy. Plus she must live in the same weather related area that I do becuase right now she's going thru a winter storm, so are we... from ice pellets, sleet, freezing rain, and all day today snow.
This challenge was supposed to be my favorite color with black, that's it... such an easy challenge :-) I likey :-) My favorite color is Sweet Leaf from Close To My Heart, it is the prettiest shade of green I've ever seen. I threw in a little pink because I rearly get to use it (having a house full of boys and all) and I love purple as well.

I love this album! It is so beautiful, it's embosssed, and the window is easy to access. Much better quality that other albums I have purchased.

What I did on Sunday, Jan. 18
I'm so excited to actually be working on MY scrapbooks again! Not that I minded making the Christmas presents that I did make, but WHEW they take up a lot of time... three month to be exact! So now I'm making progress once again on my family's book.

Cards for a Sick Child
A friend of mine (hey, Wendy!) said she would like to start sending cards to a sick child and wanted to know if I was interested in joining her.... I said sure! I'd make em if she'd write & mail em, I went thru all the cards I already have made and have 23 that I think "our" girl will like. Plus I made these this past weekend:
They're not very exciting, but I kind of like them. I didn't stamp anything, just a little distressing on the last one.
If you're interested in getting more information, you can contact: Shannon McDermott, Kiss Crop & Shop, http://www.kisscropnshop.com/; she'll be more than happy to provide information to you to help make sick children happy.
