All kinda of Love

earlier today I posted a card I made a dozen of using the negative of a cut of the word "Love" so with all of these, I used the positive (like I was going to throw away all those perfectly good alphas! no way)

Printed Paper - Echo Park For the Record 12x12 collection

Red Cardstock - Creating Keepsakes

Velvet Ribbon - no clue who the manufacturer was but I bought it at Crop Chocoalte ;-)

on these last two cards, I used stickers plus a couple of die cuts (clouds & brackets)  from the same collection, quick & easy but looks really cool!

I ended up making 16 cards from a mix of these, half will go to Operation Write Home with the other half going to From Our Hearts

a dotty kind of Love

ok so it's a corny title but it does describe the card
;-)  LOL

Printed Paper - Chatter Box Heart Blossoms (you would NOT believe how cheap I got this paper for at the Warehouse!)

Cardstock - Creative Keepsakes

Dot Embossing Folder

"Love" - Cricut using Ashlyn's Alpha

Ribbon - His & Hers Wedding Ribbon (Hobby Lobby)

Some of these cards will go to Operation Write Home & some will go to From Our Hearts... all for soliders and their sweethearts :-)  Did I mention that I made a dozen?

O'Christmas Tree

Our Creative Corner has a great new challenge this week from Susan.... here are her instructions to the Design Team "The technique of dripping Alcohol Inks onto Foil has an amazing effect.  The item you make can be anything; a free standing decoration,  or an element to place onto your project, experiment and have some fun, it is getting close to the silly season, so why not let go and free all those inhibitions and let rip with some colour!" Although I didn't dip my tin into the alcohol ink, instead I used a felt pad to apply mine.

Here's the order I used these items:
Cardstock - CloseToMyHeart Topiary
Die - Sizzix Banners
Embossing Folder - Dots
Alcohol Ink - Tim Holtz Citrus & Meadow
Red Dots - Tattered Angels Glimmer Glaze Flirty
set those all aside to dry

Cut out the Star using QuicKutz Deck the Halls Star Die
colored it with Alcohol Ink - Tim Holtz Gold

rectangleCardstock - CloseToMyHeart  Chocolate

Background:
Embossing Folder - Snow coated inside using
Tattered Angels Glimmer Glaze Sassy Silver

I assembled the tree using Glue Dots, the put small foam squares all over the back of largest "tree" before ahearing to snow background, then I added
"snow" - White Puffy Fabric Paint

I took the Operation Write Home Sketch #32 and went crazy with it!  I have this HUGE folder of My Mind's Eye paper that I got super cheap at Crop Chocolate, some in colors & prints that are really hard for me to use in my scrapbook being the mom of two boys... perfect opportunity to rid myself of this pretty paper & give a few of our military personnel the opportunity to send a pretty card home
