Good-bye Crop Chocolate Design Team

For my farewell project to the Crop Chocolate Design Team, I incorporated the help of my handy husband to cut a few wood forms & a base for me... he was uber helpful, like a good husband ought to be!

I got hooked on Mod Podge, therefore HAD to use it!

I inked up the edges of the wood tree cut-outs, trunks with Walnut Stain & Canopies in Peeled Paint.

Printed Papers I used for Canopies:  Echo Park For the Record & My Mind’s Eye So Sohpie, My Mind’s Eye Lime Twist Fly a Kite, Bo Bunny Vicki B,EchoPark Victoria Gardens .

For the Trunks: Echo Park The Great Outdoors

For the Base: My Mind’s Eye Stella & Rose

I cut all the tree canopies & trunks out on my cricut and inked up the edges using the same colors scheme as the wood cut-outs.

Then, using Mod Podge, I applied the paper cut-outs to the wood cut-outs.

Using the Fancy Pants Metal Frame collection, I chose the largest frame, traced around the handy dandy template that comes with it, inked up the edges & stamped our last name on it, using CTMH stamp set Felicity.

I tied a very long piece of Making Memories Lush Brown Ribbon thru the top loop of the frame.

Making Memories Paperie Greenhouse Sticker Alphas were applied to the canopies of the trees to spell out our first names.

I tied the brown ribbon around a couple of the tree canopies to hold the last name plaque.

Mod Podge Making Memories Dilly Dally Embellishment Box word strip to base.

using small glue dots, add buttons from Making Memories Paperie Mocha set to the center of flowers found in the Celebrate It Occasions Décor Flowers.

Add vine ribbon from May Arts intertwined around tree trunks & last name plaque, adhering using tiny glue dots.

I had to take it outside to get the best picture of the overall project.

Thank you Crop Chocolate for giving me the privilege of serving a year on the Design Team

Organization Blog Hop WINNERS!

What an amazing Blog Hop we had!  This will be my last as a participant/ Chocolatier (Design Team) for Crop Chocolate as June ends my term...  Anybody need a Designer? LOL

I got SO MANY comments from the Blog Hop, I decided to add a BONUS CANDY!  Yep, that's right... more goodies to give away.

Paper MishMash goes to.....
LYNDILOU: "I really like how you've used the curtain rods to store the twine and the different bags of color coded items. I bet that really makes it easy to find stuff! :) I'm a paper junkie so I have my eye on the Paper Mish Mash prize. You can get in touch with me at..."

Gently Used Stamps:
LAURA: "I love the ribbon storage your husband made, it's really nice....I forgot to tell you I like the stamps, in case I win. You can reach me at ...."

Bonus Candy (it'll be stamps because that's what she wanted, just different from what was shown):
JOYCE S.: Hi Paula, I'm a new follower and though I love your whole scrap room, my favorite part is the "Curtain Rod Organizer" - great idea! I can be reaced on CC's website (Juliet)....Oops, it's Joyce (aka Juliet) again - I forgot to say if I were lucky enough to win your blog candy, my 1st choice would be the gently used stamps!

Get It Organized.....BLOG HOP!

You should have gotten here from Paula's Blog (the other Paula)

If you are a regular follower of mine, the hop starts over at Amber's Blog.

One of our last acts being on the current Crop Chocolate Design Team is helping everyone with their organization!  There have been many a cry "HELP, I'm drowning in my stuff and don't know what to do with it any more"!  Relax, we're here to help :-)  I've posted before my overall room (click HERE to see previous post) and I'm sick of doing that, so this time I'm taking the "in depth" approach, little snippets of my room... here we go:

This is my secondary ribbon spool storage, for those "overflow" rolls that don't fit on my main ribbon spool that my sweetheart made me (click HERE to see, it's completely full now).  I put a large black clippie on the bottom of the white roll of ribbon onto a dowel rod and just lean it against the back of the door frame that goes to the living room (glass french doors separate my room ).

Next comes a re-purposed floral vase I
received years ago that I keep my KaiserColour paints in.  It's the perfect size for the 6 I have.

Loose Ribbon  storage is handled using wood spools I purchased from RibbonCarrousel then stored them on a plain old wood spool storage thingy from JoAnn's.  These large spools are metal (don't you just LOVE them) I got from Sign Sealed Delivered Annex in Springdale, Arkansas.  They make a huge impact yet are practical too... just how I like my stuff to be!

This is my card blank/envelope storage plus a few miscellaneous items too, I've labeled those that aren't obvious.  The little white drawer thing is just from Wal-Mart & holds small note card/envelope blanks.

a small wood corner shelf holds Smooch & Tattered Angels.... sprays, glazes, glams.  Other sprays are stored elsewhere but these are my latest & greatest so I have them out & handy to grab off the wall.

Sister Design Team Member, Corrie, created a great tutorial HERE to create this great holder for our Tim Holtz Distress Inks.  I have room to add another row to one end still so I have room to grow by 10 more pads!

On the other shelf, I have all my TH Color Wash Sprays & Distress Stains along with a couple of TH crackle paints.

My Favorite Updated area!

This is all of my twine from The Twinery along with new zip top baggies from Crop Chocolate for my small color coded items.  It looks messy but it's so easy to find what I'm looking for & sometimes trip over another item to use... I love cheap curtain rods!  This area will continually change to meet my needs & what supplies I have.

Now for the Messy Area:
This wire cube shelving system is going to be replaced when my handy hubby gets around to building the new wood shelf I've designed.... hopefully sometime during 2012 I'll have an update on this for you

Now you're off to see what Beth has in her space!

I HAVE CANDY!  To be entered you MUST do the following:
1. be a follower of my blog
2. tell me what your favorite part of my room is
3. tell me which candy you like better (Gently Used Stamps OR Paper MishMash)
4. leave me a way to contact you
5. entry ENDS at 11:59PM MST on Sunday, June 10

<-Gently Used Stamps

OR

Paper MishMash ->

BOTH will have a little extra something NOT shown in pics!

I hope you enjoyed your visit to my room, please let me know if you have any questions.

Put it in a Pretty Package!

two more gift baggies I decorated up for my scrappy friends!  Although I won't get to see Casey this trip (I'll be mailing hers to her but I already know that she likes it), I will get to give Michele's to her in person... right after I hug her neck & we wipe away our tear of joy for finally getting to be in the same room together!

I'm so blessed that Signed Sealed Delivered Annex is just up the road in Springdale, Arkansas.  They are the ones that sold me not only Tattered Angles at an incredibly low price but I also got these burlap little bag & the butterfly printed canvas!

Gift Bags

Soon I will be heading to a scrapbook retreat YAY!  I'll get to see, once again, a small group of girls I had the pleasure of meeting last year along with a bunch of other girls I've never met but have chatted with almost daily.

I'm so very excited!

This past weekend, my goal was to make each member of our small group a little gift.  I made a visit to Sign Sealed Delivered Annex in Springdale, Arkansas (you know, the people who now own Tattered Angels & Canvas Corp? love love love) I picked up some T.A. & some C.C. brought it all home to start working.  These are just two of the bags I made for my girls.

Each bag has a name card made from frame mat, stamped & embossed with a white flourish (each different), their name stamped in black, the a spray or glam or glaze over the top.  each has a flower (either handmade or store-bought). each has dangly  items that remind me of that person or reflects a favorite color of theirs.  Some are very elaborate some are very clean & simple.  All are made with love & stuffed with goodies!

Can you tell how excited I am?  I can't wait to see my girls!

Gettin Hippity with Ippity? I AM

oh yeh, you read it right... I'm their Guest Designer! Go over to Get Hippity with Ippity to read more about it, err mmm me ;-)

This week their challenge was "Flower with a Leaf" but the flower I chose has two leaves, sure hope that's ok especially since I LOVE this Ippity stamp that comes in the Bloom & Simplify set that I received fairly recently.

Come play along with us!

nope, I didn't do amazing coloring on this flower, stem & leaves.  Here's what I did, using StazOn, I stamped the image on some plastic packaging as well as some Vanilla cardstock.  Next I fussy cut the flower & stem apart.  Then I dripped two shades of red on the flower portion and one shade of green on the stem & leaves. From there it was simply using Glue Dots to attach the pieces onto the cardstock.  And oh so pretty!

To top off the flower, I added a brown dew drop.

Card Base - DoodleBug Designs (got it CHEAP at Crop Chocolate)

Background coloring - Tim Holtz Broken China

Metal Tag - CloseToMyHeart

Ribbon - Making Memories Celery Ribbon (thanks Kiki Kukuk)

Us Stamp - Unity Sentiments O'Simple

Alcohol Ink - TH Adirondack Currant (tiny bit), Watermelon (main color), and Meadow
