PPC-CC53

Once again time for Picture Perfect Creations Craft Color Combo! After my fil's 90th birthday party last year, we wanted to let the boy play off some of their pent-up energy from behaving so well at the party. When we got to their grandparents house, they knew just want that wanted to do... they found the gliders they had received for Christmas 5 month before. What a great day for Flying High!
When creating these pages, I asked my younger son (below) if he would make me a couple of paper airplanes to go in the scrapbook, but since it's the first day of spring & he got a new bike for his upcoming birthday... well, he was just too busy for dear old mom.
But my older son took pitty on me, plus he thought it would look pretty cool so he made me a happy mama with his paper folding skills. When he was finished, I inked them to match Pacific Point then gave them a light dusting of Tattered Angel I purchased from Crop Chocolate
Here's the combo:
Products used: background cardstock-CTMH Chocolate; other cardstock-SU!; ink-CTMH Chocolate; twine from The Twinery: red lettering-Making Memories felt alpha (thanks Sherri!); sun sticker-Creative Memories; and Tattered Angels

A Share of my Winnings

From AndersRuff I won all the twine spools from The Twinery (which I had just bought the sampler packs & LOVED anyway) AND several scrappy friends & I have a trip planned & mostly paid for to Colorado for a little retreat so I'm sharing my winnings with my girls! Here's my creation I made for W:
Her fav colors are infact black, white & red so the paper was a no-brainer. And I love playing with the Tags, Bags, Boxes & More cartridge I have on my Gypsy... this one I stretched taller (but it didn't need to be, so I won't be doing that again). It's got about 8' of all 9 colors inside plus I used her two favs for the bow which are each 4' long soooo bonus for her! whadoyathink?

All you other CO bound girls need to chime in what color combo you want your boxes to be <3

Sunday I received a very sad phone call. My best friend's mom lost her live-in companion. Really gave me a heavy heart because she has lost so many that she has loved. Products Used: Printed paper & cardstock-Bo Bunny Gabrielle Collection; ink-CTMH Pacifica; stamp-Basic Grey; Pearl Brads-American Crafts; Stickles; used Gypsy & Cricut to cut butterfly & trim piece; metal butterfly-Making Memories; twine-The Twinery; flowers-Prima

My Crafty Place

This week for Picture Perfect Creations we want to see WHERE you create! No matter how big, how small, how sparse or how stuff-to-the-gills... show us where you do your crafty goodness. With that said, here's my room looking in from the living room:
A few cards I've received from crafty friends, my ATC collection, and a bunch of embellishments:
flowers, ribbons, buttons (the grey shelf my awesome husband built for me):
a 6' wide decoration above the doorway to the living room:
ribbon! yet another awesome creation by my husband:
the two small wicker baskets hold my stickles, the flower power box holds hand-made flowers, the large wicker basket is full of more ribbon & my paint in the red cube:
sprays, inks, stamp, pens, just so much stuff:
The largest creation by my husband - the cabinet... yes he's amazingly good to me which holds paper, cardstock, embossing, adhesives (refills are hidden behind the big Xyron):
I hope you've enjoyed this little tour of my room. It's weird seeing it in pictures it seems so different IRL. Let me know if you have any questions!

One more small thing... my roommie, Hercules:
Don't forget to go make a comment about my blog candy! Just CLICK HERE to go to that post & good luck!

Doing what we love

As some of you know, I'm a regular player over on umWowStudios Sketch Mania and this week is no different. If you love sketches, give hers a try... they work for scrapbook pages or cards.
Here's my creation:

Digi with a Sketch & Color Combo

I love purple! There I said it, I do... so I combined not only this super cute digiStamp from The Latte Lounge with a really fun sketch from The Sweet Shop but I used the color combo from 4 Crafty Chicks. Here's my creation:
I couldn't make her dress purple, I didn't want her to look like she was wearing some kind of weird camo and I love green with purple so it was a no-brainer
The Sketch:
Products Used: cardstock-SU!; printed paper-Basic Grey Euphoria; brads-Basic Grey; flowers cut out using Gypsy/Cricut; stickles; Misc ribbon

Football & Family

Yesterday was crop day at in The Attic. I had lined up 3 sketches to get me going. The first sketch is from Twisted Sketches with a twist of Chipboard. I tried to "man-up" the layout a bit to work for football for my younger son. Here's my creation:
Next I used unWowStudios Sketch Mania for the second page to coordinate with the team picture. My Creation:
Next comes a two page layout sketch from Sketchy Thursday. I took the pictures seperately so I could use my new stand (kind of forgot I've had it for months), they look really really nice together. My Creations:
I hope you like what I got done yesterday as much as I enjoyed doing them. I will have 300 new photos very soon to scrap as I sent them off to the printer yesterday :-) A bit slow but life is busy!
