PPC-CC#10

Please join us over at Picture Perfect Creation's Color Combo #10
Here's this week's Color Combo (all colors shown are from SU!, but please use what you have that is close) :
I had so much fun playing with these colors, figuring out what I wanted them to be and how to put them together. Of course, I saw flowers in them... who wouldn't, and the other girls on my design team really are awesome at flowers... they blow me away! Since I'm basically a non-competitive person, I wanted to do something really different from my first instinct. Here's my creation:

5x7 Glossy White Base card. CTMH Cardstock in Sunny Yellow, Cranberry, Crystal Blue & Black; Zing Embossing Powder in green; CTMH White Daisy Pigment Ink; SU! Winter White Embossing Powder; CTMH You Rock Stamp Set.
oh, I almost forgot... do you see the little color areas in the background of the yellow, red & blue guitars? That's not a pre-printed papers. To do that I used a technique from CTMH's Art & Soul, Episode 4 Live Your Dreams, the technique called "Puddle Pads".

the greatest page of the weekend

the cutest kid ever.... ME!! LOL! Me, my dad & my Uncle Steve in the background, let's just say a very long time ago
have you ever seen a cuter little girl! I think not ;-)
my special buterfly I made for my page

I'm really not self centered and trust me... I was not a pretty kid or even teenager!

weekend of scrapping continued...

Three generations: my grandpa, dad & brother... I really miss my grandpa. I realized just how much my younger son looks like him when I saw this picture.
my brother, Jimmy
my sister, Cindy Lauper! LOL, it's my crazy brother, Jimmy, dressed up for a party. I'm definitely the cuter sister :-)
me presenting the Cindy Lauper page to my dad... he loved it!

More from my scrapping weekend

This was Uncle Alvin's farm, but the picture in the middle is of my Uncle Steve. They've both been gone for several years now, Uncle Steve died when he was only 19.
Again, Uncle Alvin's farm... my Aunt Valerie is at the piano in the middle picture
My Dad, Jim... shortly after he married Jan
My step-mom, Jan... isn't she pretty

Weekend scrapping for my Dad & mom-Jan

Picture Perfect Creations - Color Combo #9

Here's our weekly Color Combo from Meg over at Picture Perfect Creations:
So, go whip something up using these colors (or close), post them to Megan's PPC page, and have a chance to win!
And here's my creation using the colors (or as close as I can as my ink is all CTMH & not SU!):
my younger son's Nature Camp from last summer. All the photos on the left page, he took with big brother's camera. The camp makes a powerpoint presentation at the end of camp for parents to watch & you can purchase eveyone's photos on a cd. On the right page is his confirmation that he would be going to the camp & dates, a night time photo a counselor took with our camera and, of course, my boy.
CTMH: paper, ink; cardstock and chipboard embellishments - Outback; Cricut cartridges: Storybook ("Nature Camp" and blue birds), Jasmine ("through your eyes") & Campout (the tree); Stickles

Tricia & I had a play day yesterday at her craft room. What Fun! We usually scrap at my Attic since I have lots of room & other people join us too, but yesterday was all about us :-) Tricia found some project tutorials over at Swirlydoos. I intentinoally left the centers empty so I could add an embelly that matches my page. Here's what I made:

I love the buttefly! I've already made another, but you can't see it yet... you'll have to wait for Picture Perfect Creation-Color Combo #12 for that one!

Give it a try for yourself, super fun stuff!

Come Fly With Me, Cousin

When I was a kid and into my teenage years, I loved spending time with my cousin, Jud. He was only a few months older than me so we were always in the same grade, except he lived in Missouri & I was in Arkansas. When we were together we had a blast... it never mattered what we were doing! I enjoyed creating this page SO much, thinking of old times, being so young and carefree. We rocked the '80's! (says so on the tag!)

Almost everything is from my Scarlet Lime December 2009 kit, the only exception would be the fuzzy blue thing sticking out of the flower by me and the tag.
