Monthly Scrapbook Kit Club Reviews

This is mainly for my own use but please feel free to chime in! I'm really liking the idea of monthly scrapbook kits, but haven't found just that perfect fit for me yet... Don't get me wrong, I love CTMH's stuff but I was disapointed with the last Idea Book and most of the new papers (Love Twitterpated tho!!). So, here's my list of them in no order and my opinon is based on their current kit plus whatever previous kits I could find on their websites:

http://www.swirlydoos.com/ - romantic papers, lots of flourishes and great embellies from Stickles to pearls to lace and flowers and alpha stickers, they really hit it all except cardstock; cardstock is an add-on at additional price. $36.50 per month/$34.50 with 6-month commitment.

http://www.scrapdango.com/ - has two monthly kits to choose from Sugar or Spice. Sugar being lighter and a little girly & Spice is darker more boy. These are mainly paper & sticker kits with very few embellies, no ribbons or fibers; cardstock included. $28.50 per month/no price break for commitment.

www.scrapbookkitclub.com/store/Default.asp - Medium tone papers with Thickers, paint, ribbon, tags, rhinestone flourishes; cardstock is an add-on at additional price. $27.50 per Month/$25.00 Autoship.

http://www.scrapbookcircle.com/ - bold saturated color papers, chipboard alpha, stickers, rubons, one card pearls; cardstock is 1 sheet 6x12 (why bother?). $30.00 one month/ $27.00 for 3 months/$25 for 6 months.

http://www.labeltulip.com/ - seasonal saturted color papers with ligher backgounds , beautiful flowers, spritz, little ribbon, chipboard accents & buttons; cardstock is an addon kit for additional price. Couldn't get cart to work for price.

http://www.studiocalico.com/ - muted color papers, thickers, stitched brads (love those!), chipboard shapes, die cuts, some stickers; nice selection of cardstock. $34.50 monthly/$29.50 with Subscription.

www.licketysplitscrapbooks.com/store/ - These are two page kits. Includes various seasonal papers, cardstock, buttons, ribbon. $12 per month/3 months $51.

www.morethanscrapbooking.com/kits/kits_main.php - Seasonal papers with cardstock, alpha stickers, fabric patches, stamps, mini-album, brads. Offers a substitute "Lifestyle" kit if you don't like montly offered. $24.99 per month/$20.00 for Members.

scarletlime.com/index.html - EXCLUSIVE bold papers, buttons, ribbons, lots of embellishements, alpha and other stickers, pins, fibers, mists & mask. $36.50 per month/$31.50 with Subscription.

http://www.mycreativescrapbook.com/ - romantic soft-to-medium papers, lace, stickers, rubons, flowers, ribbons, Peals, mask, loose crystals; cardstock not included in kit. $35.50 per month/ $33.50 for 3 months/$30.99 for 6 Months.

http://www.littleredscrapbook.com/ - medium-to-bold color papers being seasonal but not in-your-face seasonal, thickers, stickers, die cuts, ribbons, cardstock... Great coordination of colors! Lots of various kits to addon. $27.50 per month/$25.00 for 3 Months/$22.50 for 6 Months.

www.colormedaisy.com/?p=2 - LIMITED SUPPLIER Medium tone papers, 2 sheets of cardstock, thickers, journaling sheet, rubons, fabric tags, frames, envelopes, blossons; cardstock add-on for additional price. Has a store with various merchandise. $32.50 one Month/ $28-30 for Subscription.

http://www.backporchmemories.com/ - Two different monthly kits to choose from, one usually an outdoorsy and the other usually more childlike. colors generally muted papaer, good selection of cardstock, frames, buttons, bling, ribbons, fibers, thickers. Great coordination of colors! $24.00 per Month.

And, of course, Close To My Heart does a montly "kit" type of thing too with all their papers being EXCLUSIVE & all products MADE IN THE USA!!! You'd have to have a current Idea Book to see what the papers look like and depending on how much or little you want to spend depends on embellys. Paper pack with cardstock, ribbons, buttons, inks & (best of all) coordinating stamp sets!

I don't know if I can pick just one... I'm waiting to review CTMH's Idea Book, pre-released to consultant on Dec. 1 so I can make up my mind then....

It really looks like you just get the quantity of merchandise that you pay for. The kit that sell (on a 6 month subscription) for the most $$$ have the most product in it.... whereas the kit that sells for the least amount has the least product. Yes, I actually did a spreadsheet to see exactally what each Site's Kit contains! lol
